LGC Diagnostics & Genomics rebrand.

LGC Diagnostics & Genomics brings together a portfolio of specialist life science brands, including SeraCare, Biosearch Technologies, Lucigen and Rapid Genomics, with expertise across scientific products and services.

The brief.

We worked with LGC Diagnostics & Genomics to develop a unified visual identity and brand system for a complex portfolio. The challenge was to build a stronger connection between the individual brands and the wider organisation, while giving each brand room to retain its own identity.

We established a clear brand structure and shared visual language that could work across the LGC masterbrand, specialist brands and individual products. A distinctive hexagonal motif became a connecting thread, providing a flexible graphic device across imagery, iconography and communications.

Alongside the visual identity, we defined principles for brand voice and messaging, helping teams explain complex scientific products and services with clarity and confidence. The design introduced a more approachable, engaging feel while maintaining the credibility expected within the life sciences sector.

The outcome.

Comprehensive guidelines and practical templates gave teams a shared foundation for everyday communications. We applied the identity across corporate stationery, sales materials, product information, presentations and social media, with principles for extending the brand into video and motion graphics.

The system also took shape in exhibition environments, from pop-up banners and shell schemes to larger stands with hero panels and central brand hubs. Each application brought the brands together in a way that made their relationship with LGC clear.

The resulting framework gives LGC Diagnostics & Genomics a consistent, recognisable presence and the flexibility to support its varied portfolio. It helps customers navigate the organisation’s expertise and gives teams the tools to communicate as part of a connected brand family.
